5th Annual Youth to Youth Conference Fosters Leadership For Students

Rapid City Police Officer, Tim Doyle (pictured above), was a guest speaker at today's Y2Y Middle School Conference.
Youth to Youth’s 5th Annual Middle School Conference was held today. This spring event was a one-of-a-kind opportunity for more than 80 students to come together and share their commitment to be drug free.
Youth to Youth provides middle school students a chance to meet with their peers, listen to influential speakers, and participate in group discussions that will help the students acquire skills to help them serve as a role modelsĀ in their schools and communities; assist with creating leadership groups to organize drug-free events in schools and communities; and highlight and plan upcoming summer events to provide youth with alternative, drug-free activities. Students were also able to come together with their peers in smaller groups and discuss topics that were concerning them as well as current issues and obstacles they may be facing.
Youth to Youth will also be holding a similar conference for local high school students at a later date.
