YFS Child Care
YFS Child Care offers quality care, a quality staff, reasonable rates and a welcoming atmosphere for children from 4 weeks old to 14 years old. In the summer months, middle school children are welcome to join the Summer Adventure Club, where they help plan activities such as hikes, excursions, and science explorations. YFS Child Care is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, year-round. Nutritious meals and snacks, planned by a registered dietitian, are served free of charge. Trained drivers transport children in grades kindergarten through eighth grade to and from designated Rapid City schools. Registrations are taken year-round.
Quality care, quality staff
YFS Child Care is licensed by the State of South Dakota and is recognized for its experienced, caring staff. All YFS Child Care teachers possess four-year degrees in education, child development or related fields. In addition, staff members are provided with annual child care training. The program is recognized for its quality programming and expirienced, caring staff.
Reasonable rates
Child Care assistance is available for families who qualify. Discounted rates are available for families with more than one child enrolled.

Children enrolled in YFS Child Care benefit from a wide variety of activities in an excellent facility. During the school year, children use an on-site gymnasium, computer room and teaching kitchen in addition to an outdoor playground and their classrooms. They also benefit from activities focusing on substance abuse prevention, counseling, swimming, basketball, hiking, and other sports.
