Donate Items to Needy Families
Every day we have children and families that need items that range from school supplies and clothing, to household goods and services.
We regularly are in need of household furnishings such as bed frames, mattresses, dressers, tables, chairs, washers and dryers, lamps, hygiene products, bookcases, kitchenware, bedding and linens. In general, the items should be clean and in good condition.
All contributions to YFS are tax deductible. Donations of property and goods fall under the category of in-kind goods, through which a value is assigned to your donation for tax purposes.
What is In-Kind?
In-kind is a dollar-value of non-cash contributions (which directly benefit a project) by the grantee or another party other than the funder (volunteer services, equipment use, facilities use, staff time or other resources, as distinguishable from a monetary grant.)
Please call ahead if you plan to drop off a donation at one of our facilities.
