2026 Dinner Theatre

Join us on October 23 or 24 for Youth & Family Services' (YFS) 20th Annual Dinner Theatre! This two-night event will raise funds to support YFS and its 9 comprehensive programs that serve more than 14,000 children and families throughout 31 counties in western South Dakota each year.

Featured Entertainment

YFS is delighted to present this year’s Dinner Theatre guests with a live performance by David Laflin, an internationally recognized illusionist, speaker, emcee, and entertainer. Originally from Rapid City, David is known for creating unforgettable experiences through storytelling, humor, creative visuals, and mind-bending illusions. He has presented at more than 2,500 events across 46 states, 13 countries, and six continents, entertaining audiences of all ages with performances that are polished, interactive, and full of wonder.

David has been featured at events and organizations including TEDx, the NCAA Final Four, Stanford University, PayPal, and private events for icons like Michael Jordan. This one-of-a-kind performance will leave guests amazed, laughing, and wondering, “How did he do that?”

Menu Information

Select from four entree options prepared by the chefs from Outback Steakhouse! All entrees will include a garden salad, dinner roll, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, and dessert. This year's entree options include:

  • Outback center-cut sirloin (9 oz)
  • Grilled salmon (8 oz)
  • Caramel mustard glazed pork chop (8 oz)
  • Queensland pasta (vegetarian)

Ticket and Event Information

Tickets are $80 each and can be purchased through our website or by calling (605) 342-4195. Tables of 6 or 8 are available. Seating is limited. Get your tickets here.

Doors for the event open at 5:15 p.m. at YFS' 120 E Adams Street facility in Rapid City. The evening's program will begin at 6 p.m.

Auctions

In addition to our in-person silent auction—held each night of the event—YFS, in partnership with McPherson Auction and Realty, will also host an online auction! As always, our auctions will include a wide variety of items such as:
• Artwork from a variety of artists
• Experience packages
• Gift certificates
• Jewelry
• Unique children's toys
• And more!

The online auction will go live on Friday, October 23. Bidding will begin closing at 6 p.m. MST on Tuesday, October 27. Winners will be able to collect their items at YFS’ 1920 N Plaza Blvd. location. Items must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 29th, unless other arrangements are made. A link to this year's online auction will be provided closer to the date of the event.

Bidders will have the opportunity to view auction items on Wednesday, October 21, from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at YFS’ 1920 N Plaza Blvd. location in Rapid City, SD.
