2023 Diamonds & Denim Dinner Theatre

Join us this October 27 and 28 for Youth & Family Services' (YFS) 17th Annual Diamonds and Denim Dinner Theatre! This two-night event will raise funds to support YFS and its nine comprehensive programs that serve more than 14,000 children and families throughout 30 counties in western South Dakota each year.

Each night of YFS' Diamonds and Denim Dinner Theatre will feature a social hour, facility tours, a delicious dinner prepared by chefs from Outback Steakhouse, an in-person silent auction as well as access to our extensive online auction, and an upbeat performance by The Abbey Road Band! 

This event will take place at YFS' 120 East Adams Street facility. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited each night so we encourage you to make your reservations today! Tickets are $75 each and tables of six or eight are available. 

Menu Information

This year, guests have the opportunity to select one of four entrees prepared by the chefs from Outback Steakhouse! All entrees will include a garden salad, dinner roll, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, and dessert. This year's entrees include:

  • Outback center-cut sirloin (8 oz)
  • Grilled salmon (8 oz)
  • Caramel mustard glazed pork chop (8 oz)
  • Queensland pasta (vegetarian)

Youth & Family Services is delighted to present this year’s Diamonds and Denim Dinner Theatre guests with a musical performance by The Abbey Road Band! The Abbey Road Band is the premier Beatles tribute band in the upper Midwest. Based in Rapid City, SD, they have performed at fairs, festivals, car shows, conventions, concerts, casinos, and corporate events around the region and receive rave reviews at every show.

This show will entertain an audience of any age. You will be amazed how The Abbey Road Band sounds just like The Beatles! The band has spent countless hours studying the music and original recordings to perfect the arrangements for a live tribute show.

The Abbey Road Band is a group of veteran musicians that also happen to be passionate Beatles fans. They've discussed at length how to "present a fitting tribute to The Beatles without fake wigs, costumes, or other attempts at looking like The Beatles." They decided their emphasis would
be on the music and sound.

The challenge is performing The Beatles' music live, especially from their later albums. The Abbey Road uses synthesizers, digital drums, and other effects to give the audience a truly live performance. It's important to this group that the audience gets involved in every show. "With such fun music, we're having a blast playing it! We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do." 

Auctions

In addition to our in-person silent auction—held each night of the event—YFS, in partnership with McPherson Auction and Realty, will also host an online auction! As always, our auctions will include a wide variety of items such as:
• Artwork from a variety of artists
• Experience packages
• Gift certificates
• Jewelry
• Unique children's toys
• And more!

The online auction will go live on Friday, October 27. Bidding will begin closing at 6 p.m. MST on Monday, October 30. Winners will be able to collect their items at YFS’ 1920 N Plaza Blvd. location. Items must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 unless other arrangements are made. A link to this year's online auction will be provided closer to the date of the event.

Bidders will have the opportunity to view auction items on Wednesday, October 25 from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at YFS’ 1920 N Plaza Blvd. location in Rapid City, SD.
